Two people were killed in the Virginia Tech campus shootings in U.S.

Two people were killed in shootings at Virginia Tech’s campus on Thursday, said a spokesman for the university.

“A policeman was shot. The second victim was also reported,” the university said in a statement on Twitter, Reuters reported.

Campus newspaper the Collegiate Times said police were killed.

According to MSNBC, the incident happened after a traffic stop and the suspect is now being hunted.

The university said the suspect as a white man wearing a gray sports shirt and maroon.

“Stay in the house. Secure your place,” said the school was in his message.

The shooting incident that reminds one of the April 2007 massacre, when a mentally ill student killed 32 people and wounding 25 others before killing himself on the school campus, located in the Shenandoah Valley, about 400 miles from Washington, DC.

A gun was found near the bodies of two men and the police did not shoot him. They also did not say whether the man died from wounds caused by his own actions.

This incident will remind the Virginia Tech shootings on April 16, 2007, when a student named Seung-Hui Cho shot dead 32 friends and suicide.

One of the victims were students from Indonesia, Partahi Lumbantoruan.
