Design
No doubt the closest ultrabook MacBook Air is the ASUS UX31, which not only has a similar design but also the device that is also complete. Dark cap has a circular brush pattern, while the deck of a lighter color and the bottom covered with a more traditional metal.

Lenovo U300s and Toshiba Portege Z835 has a thickness that is almost the same in all the parts and a more muted appearance. The designs are not too good is Acer Aspire S3, deck plastic feels cheap, especially if you compare to its competitors that use all metal. While in terms of weight, Z835 comes with a weight of 1.09 Kg.

Winner: ASUS UX31. When you choose ultraportable with a luxurious design and peripherals you can choose the UX31. Zenbook arguably even better than the MacBook Air. However, Toshiba Z835 earn points for the design of sturdy but lightweight.

Keyboard

All keyboards have island-style layout, but none of them quite comfortable to use. We hope the U300s Lenovo keyboard, although it is quite comfortable but not as good as the ThinkPad X1. Unfortunately, the Z835 uses only the keyboard backlit keyboard.

Winner: Toshiba Portege Z835. Ultrabook is the only one that uses a backlit keyboard than others.

Acer with Dolby Home Theater v4, using Toshiba Wavemaxx Z835, Lenovo U300s using SRS Premium Surround and ASUS UX31 with ASUS SonicMaster.

In addition to Acer Aspire S3, all of these ultrabook have at least one USB 3.0 port. all have the HDMI port, except for the UX31. ASUS uses microHDMI, to accommodate microDisplayPort. Z835 Toshiba only has Ethernet and VGA ports, although the UX31 also has an adapter and one for VGA. Lenovo gets points kurangdari U300s other due to lack of SD card slot.

Performance
U300s Lenovo includes an Intel Core i7-2677M 1.8 GHz and 4GB RAM. It rivaled by ASUS UX31 with Intel Core i5-2557M 1.7 GHz and 4GB RAM. Not surprisingly, if the two other systems are also skyrocketing. Aspire S3 with Intel Core i5-2467M 1.6 GHz and 4GB of RAM, and Toshiba i3 processor Z835 with 1.4 GHz and 4GB RAM.

SSD performance
One of the requirements ultrabook is a fast boot time. The only way to achieve this is through the use of SSD. ASUS, Lenovo and Toshiba just use SSD, but the Acer S3 only use 20GB SSD. As a result, poor performance in other parts.

128GB SSD on the ASUS SATA III SSD UX3 is the first that appears in the notebook, this is the fastest with 5GB duplicate multimedia files on a level of 97.9 MBps. Lenovo is hot on his heels (83.4 MBps), but Toshiba’s performance was bad enough with the speed below the 28.4 MBps.
