lady antebellum and Lady Gaga is toast Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night after picking up nine awards between them.
Country trio lady antebellum claimed five awards for the single and album “I Need You Now,” including Record and Song of the Year, while gaga scored the winner for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Short Form Video for “Bad Romance ” and Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Vocal Album for “The Monster Fame.” But the surprise the night came right at the end of the ceremony when the indie favorite Arcade Fire took the award Album of the Year for “The Suburbs,” Eminem’s favorite beat and Lady before the war.
That night was a triple winner of rocker Jeff Beck, John Legend and Jay-Z, while The Black Keys and Usher are among the double winners. Eminem, who leads the nominations with 10, came home with two and Justin Bieber surprise non-winner. He lost out to lesser-known jazz players Esperanza Spalding in the category Best New Artist, while Lady Gaga beat him in the Best Pop Vocal Album.
